Prinz Methusalem [collection] : komische Operette in 3 Akten / von Wilder und Delacour ; Deutsch von Carl Treumann ; Musik von Johann Strauss. 1870-1900.

Arranged in seven groups: I. Vocal scores (27). II. Vocal parts (12). III. Chorus parts (11). IV. Librettos (3). V. Promptbooks (18 in 22 vols.). VI. Dialogue parts (144). VII. Accompanying material (1). The vocal scores include a German edition by Spina (Wien, 187-?) and an English edition by White, Smith (Boston, 18--), one copy of which is a stage manager's guide. The vocal and chorus parts include both German and English versions, with copies in manuscript, mimeo, and holograph. The librettos, in German, represent two different editions, both of which were published in Vienna (Carls-Theatre, 1877 and Adolph W. Künast, n.d.). One of these has been annotated as a promptbook. The remaining promptbooks, all in English, are either typescript or manuscript. One typed copy is identified as the "Cut version - Henderson" and Al Henderson's name appears on one of the manuscript copies. One of the manuscript promptbooks is identified as the property of John A. McCaull Esq. and is dated 1883. Another bears Arthur Bell's signature, who is listed as the stage director of a performance (no place, n.d.), the program of which is pasted inside the front cover. The dialogue parts represent at least 14 sets, many of which are incomplete. English sets are either typescript or manuscript, and the single (?) set in German is handwritten. The accompanying material consists of mimeo correction sheets (?) of stage directions.
